Ambulance Service projected to attain  profit of 168 million drams in 2025

YEREVAN, November 24. /ARKA/. Tigran Avinyan, the Mayor of Yerevan, has announced a notable enhancement in the quality of services offered by Ambulance CJSC.

“The system has undergone complete re-equipment, digitization, and has shifted to an entirely cashless payment system,” he stated during a working meeting at City Hall on Monday.

David Karapetyan, the head of the Healthcare Department at Yerevan City Hall, indicated that although the company concluded 2022 with a loss of 141 million drams, it aims to achieve a profit of 168 million drams by 2025.

He noted that while the financial performance of JSC ‘Ambulance’ from government procurement was 1.9 billion drams in 2022, this figure reached 1.2 billion drams in the first half of 2025 alone, with the amount of paid services during this period totaling 96 million drams, compared to 98 million drams in 2022.

Additionally, he reported that 281,000 calls were handled in 2022, while 155,000 calls were processed in the first half of this year.

“Beginning July 1, 2023, a cashless payment system was implemented for certain paid services, and the transition to payment and settlement terminals as well as POS terminals has been completed. In 2024, an electronic call registration system utilizing tablets was introduced, which has eliminated incorrect patient registrations. ‘Seven new ambulances were acquired in 2025, with another seven planned for 2026,’ Karapetyan stated.
