Dollarization in Armenia is at a historically low level – Central Bank

YEREVAN, December 11. /ARKA/. In the past few months, Armenia has seen its dollarization level fall to a record low, as reported by the Central Bank.

“Specifically, in October 2025, the dollarization level, which is calculated by the proportion of resident dollar deposits to total resident deposits, reached 34.2%,” states a post on the regulator’s Facebook page.

This figure is highlighted as a significant measure of public trust in the Armenian dram and the overall stability of the financial system.

Data from the Central Bank’s website indicates that the dollarization level has been on a consistent decline since March 2023, when it was at 43.7%.

As per the regulator’s statistics from October 31, 2025, within a total deposit structure of 7.01 trillion drams, 5.53 trillion drams were classified as resident deposits, which include 3.63 trillion drams in dram deposits and 1.89 trillion drams in foreign currency deposits.
