Net inflow of money transfers to Armenia from abroad increased by 8.6% in 2025

YEREVAN, February 2. /ARKA/. The net inflow of cross-border money transfers to individuals in Armenia, received from abroad through the Armenian banking system, amounted to $1.64 billion in January-December 2025, compared to $1.51 billion in January-December 2024, according to a report from the Central Bank.

Thus, this figure increased by approximately 8.6% year-on-year.

Moreover, the net inflow in December 2025 amounted to $315.1 million, compared to $385 million in December 2024.

The inflow of cross-border money transfers to individuals in Armenia, received from abroad through the Armenian banking system, amounted to $5.98 billion last year, compared to $5.84 billion in the previous year.

Among the leading countries for transfers to Armenia were Russia with $3.88 billion and the United States with $733.8 million.

Furthermore, Russia and the United States also led transfers to Armenia in 2024 ($3.82 billion and $690.6 million, respectively).

Meanwhile, the outflow of transfers from individuals in Armenia abroad, made through the Armenian banking system, amounted to $4.34 billion in 2025, compared to $4.33 billion in 2024.

Last year, Russia ($749.9 million) and the UAE ($631.9 million) led transfers from Armenia abroad. In 2024, the leaders were also the UAE ($880.3 million) and Russia ($688.4 million).
