Mopeds, tricycles, and ATVs in Armenia will be included in the compulsory motor third-party liability insurance (CMTPL) system

YEREVAN, March 4. /ARKA/. At its session on Wednesday, the National Assembly of Armenia adopted amendments to the law “On Compulsory Liability Insurance Arising from the Use of Motor Vehicles” in the first reading.

Armenian Deputy Minister of Internal Affairs Armen Ghazaryan stated that mopeds, tricycles, and ATVs are proposed to be included in the compulsory motor third-party liability insurance (CMTPL) system in Armenia, given the recent increase in the number of such vehicles on the roads.

Ghazaryan reported that as of March 1, 2,594 two-wheeled mopeds, 29 three-wheeled mopeds, and 127 tricycles and ATVs were registered in Armenia.
