YEREVAN, September 23. /ARKA/. Armenian Deputy Prime Minister Tigran Khachatryan and Lyaziza Sabyrova, Country Director for Armenia at the Asian Development Bank (ADB), discussed new areas of cooperation and infrastructure projects.
According to the Armenian government’s press service, the parties reviewed the progress of programs implemented jointly with the ADB and discussed future avenues for cooperation.
In this context, Khachatryan praised the existing partnership with the ADB, emphasizing its alignment with the priorities and targets set out in the government’s program.
Specifically, the officials discussed issues related to water resource management, infrastructure development, and improving seismic safety in schools, as well as ongoing and planned policy-based budget support programs.
Regarding future cooperation, special attention was paid to the need to explore effective public-private partnership (PPP) models and opportunities for their implementation.

These include projects in transport, energy, water supply, and urban infrastructure; in the private sector, the ADB supports utilities and infrastructure, financial institutions, and agribusiness.
