YEREVAN, January 17. /ARKA/. No transactions on January 17 in NASDAQ OMX Armenia.

“It can be explained by two factors. First, commercial banks preferred inter-banking transactions where rather high rate is registered – buy-sale of foreign currency in the stock exchange by 366.75 drams per $1. Second, stock exchange participants were concentrated in the auction of 39-week bonds”, explained analyst of Forex Club Mikael Verdyan to “ARKA news agency”.

The last transaction by foreign currency was registered on January 14 when the weighted average US dollar rate was 365.5 drams per $1.

Mid-market rates as of January 17 are $1 – 365.01, €1 – 484.22 drams. .–0—
