Armenian banks expect their capital to grow to 480 billion drams in 2013

YEREVAN, June 6. / ARKA /. Armenian commercial banks expect their capital to grow by 50% or 160 billion drams in 2011-2013 to 480 billion drams, at a 14% annual growth rate, according to a Central Bank of Armenia report on possible developments in the banking system in 2011-2013.

According to the report, six banks expect their combined capital to grow by 37 billion drams, five expect it to grow at the expense of foreign loans. The banks also expect their liabilities to grow by 68% or 882 billion drams to 2.182 trillion drams with a 19% annual growth rate. The assets of the banks are expected to grow by 64% to 2. 661 trillion drams at an 18% annual growth rate. ($1 – 376,51 drams). -0-
