YEREVAN, June 28. /ARKA/. The total amount of deposits attracted by Armenian commercial banks shrank 1.1% in April, compared with March, to AMD 747 billion.
According to the information available on the central bank’s official website, deposits grew 12.8% or by AMD 84.9 billion in April 2011, compared with the same month a year earlier.
Deposits in Armenian drams contracted by 3.3% in April, compared with March, to AMD 209.5 billion and those in foreign currencies reduced by 0.3% to AMD 414.4 billion.
