Creditbank’s share in Anelik Bank’s capital rises to 89.95%

YEREVAN, October 10. /ARKA/. Lebanese CreditBank’s share in the capital of Armenia’s Anelik Bank increased to 89.95%, and the share of the Bank’s Board Chairman Samvel Chzmachyan totaled 10.05%, according to the press release.

One of the leading banks of Lebanon, Credit Bank, became the principal and strategic partner of Armenia’s Anelik Bank obtaining 51% of its shares  in July 2009. The deal was prompted by activization of ties between Lebanon and Armenia, and interest of the Arab world in Armenia and CIS.

“The last changes in the number of shareholders will have a positive impact on Anelik Bank’s further development creating an opportunity to spread Anelik brand not only in CIS, where it is one of the recognizable and popular financial brands,  but also in the countries of the Middle East,” Anelik Bank’s Board Chairman Samvel Chzmachyan said.

Anelik Bank CJSC was established on 9 June 1990, registered on 1 October 1991. It received the general license N9 of the Central Bank of Armenia in October 1996. —0-
