Armenia’s monetary base grows 6.3% to 641.6bln drams in October

YEREVAN, November 30. /ARKA/. Armenia’s monetary base grew by 6.3% or more than 37.7bln drams to about 641.6bln drams in October against September, the National Statistical Service (ArmStat) reported.

Cash outside the Central Bank of Armenia totaled over 408.7bln drams by the end of October versus 400.5bln drams as of the end of September.

Mandatory reserves in drams stood at over 170.3bln drams against more than 149.9bln drams at the end of September; mandatory reserves in foreign currency reached over 53.8bln drams versus 44.1bln drams.

Net international reserves (without privatization funds) amounted to around 382.9bln drams by the end of October, a 2.4% increase against September.

Net domestic assets dropped to over 258.6bln drams from 229.7bln drams in late September.  ($1 – 405.19 drams). –0–
