Armenia’s money supply shrinks by 1.9% to over AMD 1.320.1 trln in January

YEREVAN, February 28. /ARKA/. Money supply of Armenia dropped by 1.9% to over 1.320.1 trillion drams late January from December.

Cash outside the banking system stood at nearly 351.8 billion drams (January) versus over 384.1 billion drams (December), National Statistical Service reported citing preliminary figures of the Central Bank. Demand deposits (in drams) totaled 157 billion drams against nearly 161.7 billion drams.

Time AMD deposits accounted to over 200.4 billion drams against 192.2 billion drams, whereas foreign deposits valued at nearly 611 billion drams versus over AMD 608.4 billion.

Money multiplier was 2.01 late January inching up by 0.04 points from December. ($1 – 409.02 drams).—0-
