Armenia’s Commercial Banks purchase over $115.2mln at intra-banking forex market last week

YEREVAN, December 2. /ARKA/. Armenian commercial banks purchased more than $115.2mln at a weighted average rate of 403.51 drams per $1 in intra-banking foreign exchange market on November 25 – 29, the press service of the Central Bank reported.

In the same period, about 5.4mln euros and over 755.7mln rubles were purchased on the intra-banking forex market at weighted average exchange rates of 545.89drams per €1 and 12.15drams per ruble respectively.

At the same time, about $107.1mln, about €18.5 mln and about 116.4 mln rubles were sold on the intra-banking forex market at weighted average exchange rates of 404.71drams, 597.10drams and 12.31drams respectively.

Dram loans extended by Armenian banks during the week before (November 18-24) totalled 50.8bln drams; dollar loans amounted to a total of $48.1mln. ($1=403.91drams).  –0–
