Armenia’s commercial banks purchase about $99.2 mln at intra-banking forex market last week

YEREVAN, April 22. /ARKA/. Armenian commercial banks purchased about $99.2mln at a weighted average rate of 413.75drams per $1 in intra-banking foreign exchange market on April 14-18, the press service of the Central Bank reported.

In the same period, about 7mln euros and over 846.2mln rubles were purchased on the intra-banking forex market at weighted average exchange rates of 571.47 drams per €1 and 11.46 drams per ruble respectively.

At the same time, over $101.3mln, about €12.9mln and 109.6mln rubles were sold on the intra-banking forex market at weighted average exchange rates of 414.98drams, 574.83drams and 11.61drams respectively.

Dram loans extended by Armenian banks during the week before (April 7-13) totalled 35.7bln drams; dollar loans amounted to a total of $36.1mln. ($1=414.06drams).  –0–
