Armenian commercial banks’ loan portfolio grows 12% to AMD 1 840.9 billion in April 2014

YEREVAN, June 5. /ARKA/. Armenian commercial banks’ aggregate loan portfolio amounted to AMD 1 840.9 billion in April 2014 after growing 12%, compared with the same month a year before, the National Statistical Service of Armenia reports.

Loans extended in foreign currencies totaled AMD 1 058.8 billion and those extended in drams totaled AMD 653 billion (13.5% year-on-year growth).

Overdue loans totaled AMD 27.7 billion (62.3%) and made up 1.5% of the aggregate loan portfolio. Overdue short-term loans amounted to AMD 24.7 billion.

Banks’ prolonged loans exceeded AMD 101.3 billion (71.6% growth). Short-term loans here amounted to AMD 58.9 billion. ($1- AMD 413.71). -0–

Armenian commercial banks paid 28.65 billion drams in various taxes in Q1

All 17 Armenia-based commercial banks are included in the list of the 1,000 largest taxpayers in the first quarter of 2026, having paid a total of 28.65 billion drams to the state budget, according to data released today by the State Revenue Committee.

Armenian banks’ net profit in Q1 2026 increased by 2.3% to AMD 103.5 billion

The total net profit (after tax) of Armenian banks in Q1 2026 amounted to AMD 103.48 billion, compared to AMD 101.18 billion in Q1 2025, an increase of 2.27%. Moreover, compared to the previous quarter, Q4 2025, the increase was 5.84%.
