Number of Armenian commercial banks clients grows 17.3% to 2 million in late March 2014

YEREVAN, June 6. /ARKA/. Armenian commercial banks had 1,9815,225 clients in late March 2014 – 17.3% year-on-year growth, the National Statistical Service reports.

The number of the commercial banks’ corporate clients rose 5.8% in March 2014, compared with the same month a year earlier, to 76,795, and the number of individuals grew 17.8% to 1,908,430.

There were 3,361,856 accounts at the country’s banks in late March 2014 – 18.1% more than in late March 2013.

Individuals had 3,193,907 accounts in late March 2014 (18.8% year-on-year growth) and corporate clients had 167,949 accounts (5.7% growth).

Deposits at the commercial banks totaled AMD 826.3 billion in late April after growing 2.2% or by AMD 17 838 million over one month and 19.7% or by 135.8 billion over one year.  ($1 – AMD 413.36). -0—-
