Loan portfolio of Armenian banks’ branches in Karabakh increased 17.3% to AMD 89097.8 million by September 1

STEPANAKERT, September 25. /ARKA/. The aggregate loan portfolio of Armenian commercial banks’ branches in Nagorno-Karabakh Republic reached AMD 89097.8 million by September 1, 2015 after growing 17.3% over one year, but shrinking 0.8% over one month.

The National Statistical Service of Nagorno-Karabakh Republic reports on its website that loans in foreign currencies made up 69.9% of the loan portfolio, and the share of overdue loans was 1.2% in early September.

Deposits attracted by the Armenian banks’ branches in Nagorno Karabakh totaled AMD 62563.3 million showing a 14.9% year-on-year growth and 9.7% month-on-month growth.

According to the statistical report, the share of time deposits in the bank branches’ aggregate loan portfolio was 70.6%, that of demand deposits was 21.1% and that of purposed deposits 8.3% in early September. –0–
