Overdue loans of Armenian commercial banks grew by 17.1% to 39.4 billion drams

YEREVAN, October 3. /ARKA/. The overdue loans of Armenian commercial banks grew by 17.1% to 39.4 billion drams as of August 2017 as compared with the previous month, according to the National Statistical Service (NSS).

It said short-term overdue loans increased by 18.2% to 15.9 billion drams, and long-term loans by 16.3% to about 23.5 billion drams. At the same time, the amount of extended loans increased by 10.8% to 115.4 billion drams.

As of the end of August, the aggregate lending by Armenian banks stood at 2. 495.4 trillion drams (a decline of 0.3% from the previous month) ($ 1 – 484.04 drams). -0-
