Armenian inflation up 3.1 percent in four months of 2018

YEREVAN, May 7. /ARKA/. Armenia’s consumer prices in January-April 2018 rose by 3.1% year-on-year, the National Statistical Service (NSS) said.

It said prices of food products (including alcoholic beverages and tobacco products) increased by 3.6%, while prices of non-food products and services rose by 4.6% and 1.5%, respectively.

In April, consumer prices fell by 0.3% when compared to the previous month, driven by a fall in food prices and non-alcoholic beverages by 1.2%. Compared to April 2017 prices increased by 2.4%. The government-projected inflation for 2018 is 4% (± 1.5%). -0-
