Nongovernmental organizations in Armenia to be obliged to submit annual financial reports

YEREVAN, December 6. /ARKA/. The Armenian government upheld Thursday at its regular meeting amendments to the law on nongovernmental organizations.

The amendments propose that all nongovernmental organizations in Armenia will have to submit annual financial reports, while under the present law, only those organizations financed from public sources are obliged to submit annual financial reports.

Davit Ananyan, head of the State Revenue Committee, said that the amendment, proposed by the State Revenue Committee (SRC), is designed to enhance accountability and transparency, in conformity with international requirements. -0—
