Armenian banks paid 111.8 billion drams in taxes for 9 months of 2023

YEREVAN, October 26. /ARKA/. Seventeen out of 18 Armenia-based commercial banks are in the list of 1000 largest corporate taxpayers for January-September 2023, having paid 111.8 billion drams in taxes and duties, according to the State Revenue Committee.

Of that amount about AMD 109.8 billion were collected by tax authorities and about AMD 2 billion by customs authorities.

Some 71.1 billion drams were collected as profit taxes, 30.8 billion drams as income taxes,  3.2 billion drams and VAT and 6.7 billion drams as other taxes.

The top five banks in terms of paid taxes are Ameriabank – about AMD 22.8 billion (6th place), Ardshinbank – AMD 21.3 billion (7th place), ACBA Bank – AMD 10.9 billion (16th place), Inecobank – AMD 8.6 billion (21st place) and Evocabank – AMD 7.3 billion (25th place). 

The list of top 100 largest taxpayers includes Conversebank – AMD 6.7 billion (29th place), IDBank – AMD 5.4 billion (36th place), Araratbank – AMD 4.9 billion (42nd place), HSBC Bank Armenia – AMD 4.8 billion (44th place), Armeconombank – about AMD 3.6 billion (64th place), VTB Bank (Armenia) – 3.05 billion AMD (76th place), Unibank – 3.03 billion AMD (77th place), Fast Bank – 2.7 billion AMD (87th place), ArmSwissBank – about  AMD 2.5 billion (92nd place) and Armbusinessbank – 2.4 billion AMD (93rd place).

Mellat Bank paid AMD 905.9 million drams (258th place) and Byblos Bank Armenia – about 729 million drams (318th place).

The total amount of taxes paid by the Central Bank of Armenia is 1.5 billion drams.  ($1 – 402.40 drams). -0-
