Yerevan’s 2025 budget approved with 87.8 million drams deficit

YEREVAN, 24 December. /ARKA/. The Council of Elders of the Armenian capital city Yerevan has approved today the city’s budget for 2025.  

The budget calls for 159 billion 399.6 million drams in revenue, including 90.2 billion drams of  own revenue. This is higher than the 2024 figures by 28.7 billion drams or 46.7 per cent, Head of the Municipality’s Finance Department Kristine Avetisyan told the session.

According to her, budget expenditures are envisaged in the amount of almost 159 billion drams 487.4 million drams, which exceeds the current year’s figure by 34.5 billion drams.  

‘The expected deficit will be more than AMD 87.8 million. Subsidies from the state budget of the country will make AMD 9.5 billion,’ Avetisyan said. ($1 – 395.75 drams).
