Armenian commercial banks paid AMD 107.7 billion in taxes in the first half of 2025

YEREVAN, July 28. /ARKA/. All  Armenia-based commercial banks were among  the largest 1,000 largest corporate taxpayers in the first half of 2025,  having paid more than AMD 107.76 billion in taxes, the State Revenue Committee (SRC) said.

Of all taxes, 106.49 billion drams were collected by tax authorities and 1.28 billion drams by  customs authorities.

According to the State Revenue Committee, profit tax collection amounted to almost 68.6 billion drams, income tax  to more than 31.64 billion drams, VAT to  over 1.92 billion drams, and other taxes and duties to  almost 5.63 billion drams.

Two banks were in the top 5 of the list of 1000 taxpayers: Ardshinbank in 4th place with taxes paid in excess of 27.96 billion drams (excluding Ardshininvestbank with 2.43 billion drams) and Ameriabank – with 21.4 billion drams in 5th place.

The top hundred largest taxpayers include ACBA Bank – 8.45 billion drams (18th place), Inecobank – 7.97 billion drams (20th place), Converse Bank – 4.78 billion drams (35th place), IDBank – 4.4 billion drams (39th place), Unibank – 4.29 billion drams (40th place), Evocabank – 4.7 billion drams (42nd place), Araratbank – 3.69 billion drams (46th place), Armeconombank – 3.4 billion drams (49th place), VTB Bank (Armenia) – 3.33 million drams (52nd place), ArmSwissBank – 3.07 billion drams (59th place), Fast Bank – 2.6 million drams. (70th place), AMIO Bank – 2.59 billion drams (71st place).

Iranian-owned Mellat Bank paid  almost 1.46 billion drams (125th place), Artsakhbank – more than 1.16 billion drams (155th place) and  Byblos Bank Armenia – almost 641.5 million drams (282nd place). The Central Bank paid  almost 1.08 billion drams.

According to the State Revenue Committee, the 1000 largest taxpayers of Armenia transferred over 986 billion drams in taxes and customs payments to the state budget in January-June 2025. Mobile Center Art leads the list (payments amounted to 32.9 billion drams), Grand Tobacco is in second place (30.46 billion drams), Gazprom Armenia is in third place (28 billion drams). Armenian commercial banks paid 28.65 billion drams in various taxes in Q1

All 17 Armenia-based commercial banks are included in the list of the 1,000 largest taxpayers in the first quarter of 2026, having paid a total of 28.65 billion drams to the state budget, according to data released today by the State Revenue Committee.

Assets of Armenian banks increased by 16.67% to 13.15 trillion drams as of the end of Q1 2026

Total assets of Armenian banks as of March 31, 2026, amounted to 13.1 trillion drams, an increase of 16.67% compared to March 31, 2025.
