Armenian banks’ aggregate liabilities grow 32.9% to AMD 1059.3 billion in 2009

YEREVAN, March 3. /ARKA/. Armenian banks’ aggregate liabilities reached AMD 1059.3 billion by late December 2009 after growing 32.9% or by AMD 262.5 billion since the beginning of that year.

They grew 5.9% or by AMD 59.7 billion, compared with the third quarter.

ARKA News Agency’s analysis shows that ACBA-Credit Agricole Bank, with its 127.3 billion and 30.7% year-on year growth, became the leader among Armenian banks on this indicators.

Its liabilities make up 12.02% of Armenian banks’ aggregate liabilities.

HSBC Bank Armenia came second in this ranking.

Its liabilities amounted to AMD 118.7 billion and constituted 11.2% of banks’ aggregate liabilities.

Unibank, with its AMD 97 billion (99.16%), is placed third in ARKA News Agency’s ranking.

VTB Bank (Armenia), with AMD 95.5 billion and 9.01%, follows Unibank.

Then Ardshininvesbank (AMD 92.1 billion and 8.7%) comes.

These banks’ shares in Armenian banks’ aggregate liabilities was 50.1% in 2009.
