Armenia’s commercial banks bought $72.2 million at local foreign exchange market February 6 to 10

YEREVAN, February 13. /ARKA/. Armenia’s commercial banks bought a total of $72.2 million at local foreign exchange market in a time span from February 6 to 10 at the average exchange rate of 387.93 drams per one USD, the Central Bank of Armenia said.

Also they bought over 5.1 million euros and 402.2 million Russian rubles at average weighted exchange rates of 509.35 drams and 12.81 drams respectively. In the same time span the banks sold about $82.6 million, over €8.9 million and 89.5 million rubles at 388.92, 512.46 and 13.01 drams respectively.

The Central Bank said a total of $1.5 million were sold and bought at inter-bank foreign exchange market at the average exchange rate of 388.5 drams per one USD. Besides, from January 30 to February 5 the banks issued 26.7 billion drams worth loans in Armenian national currency and $62.9 million loans in USD. ($1 – 388.69 drams). -0-
