Dollar sale-purchase deals worth $21.2 million concluded at NASDAQ OMX Armenia last week

YEREVAN, July 21. /ARKA/. The dollar sale-purchase deals concluded at NASDAQ OMX Armenia over a period between July 14 and 18 totalled $21.2 million against $8.8 million one week before, the press office of the Central Bank of Armenia told ARKA News Agency.

The dollar then traded at 407.25 drams, on average. No transactions on the euro were made at the satock exchange over the last week.

NASDAQ OMX Armenia (former Armenian Stock Exchange, Armex), was established in 2001 as a voluntary merger of broker (dealer) companies.

In early November 2007, the stock market was reorganized into an open joint stock company.

In January 2008, Nordic exchange operator OMX Group acquired 100% of shares of the Armenian Stock Exchange (Armex) and in June 2009 it became the sole shareholder of the Central Depository of Armenia (CDA).
