Overdue loans at Armenia’s commercial banks grow 1.96% to amd 40.1 billion in July 2015

YEREVAN, September 7. / ARKA /. Overdue loans at Armenia’s commercial banks totaled AMD 40.1 billion in late July 2015, after shrinking 1.96% over one month, the National Statistical Service of Armenia reports.

They made up 1.9% of the commercial banks’ aggregate loan portfolio.

Short-term loans amounted to AMD 27 billion in late June showing a 2.3% month-on month decrease and constituting 67.5% of the overdue loans.

Loans with extended terms totaled about AMD 120.3 billion in July – 0.6% growth, compared with the previous month.

According to the statistical report, banks’ aggregate credit investments amounted to AMD 1 886.2 billion in late July after reducing 0.3% over the month. Loans in foreign currencies totaled about AMD 1 252.9 million. ($1 – AMD 478). —-0—-
