Annual interest rate on mortgage loans in USD increase by 0.3% to 12.6%, central bank of Armenia says

YEREVAN, April 12. /ARKA/. The average annual interest rate on mortgage loans in USD in February 2016 increased by 0.3% from the previous month to 12.6%, according to the Central Bank of Armenia.

The Central Bank said also that the average interest rate on mortgage loans in the national currency, the dram, decreased by 0.2 percentage points in February to 12.7%.

At the same time, the average interest rates on long-term loans in drams amounted to 19.5% in February, an increase of 0.2 percentage points compared with the previous month, while the rate on loans in foreign currency rose by 0.2% to 15.4%.

Short-term loans in drams in February were provided on average 22% rate, up from 21.8% in January, while short-term loans in foreign currency were provided at 14.9% against 15.1% a month earlier. ($ 1- 483.79 drams). -0-
