VTB Bank (Armenia) customers can now make instant money transfers

YEREVAN, August 23. /ARKA/. VTB Bank (Armenia) customers can now make money transfers to Visa, MasterCard, MIR, Union Pay cards issued by foreign banks, as well as to bank accounts in the EU member countries. The money is credited to the account instantly; the commission is up to 1.5% of the transfer amount, the press service of the bank reported.

It said for money transfers to Visa, MasterCard, MIR cards issued by banks of the Russian Federation, the commission is 1.5% of the transfer amount, but not less than 100 rubles. The funds are credited to the card in rubles. For money transfers to Visa, MasterCard cards issued by foreign banks, the commission is 1.5%, but not less than 250 Russian rubles or 5 USD/Euro. Customers can make dual-currency transfers in drams, dollars and euros at the current rate of 0% – 0.1%.

The bank’s customers also have now access to international money transfers to UnionPay cards at a 2% rate, but not less than 5 US dollars. The maximum amount of the money transfer is 5 thousand US dollars. When sending a money transfer in AMD in the amount of more than 120 thousand AMD, with conversion to US in the recipient’s card, the commission is 0%.

Other advantages include sending money transfers in euros with crediting to an account in any bank in 32 EU countries within 1-3 business days. The recipient can be either an individual or a legal entity. The maximum amount of one money transfer is 4.5 thousand euros, the current commission is from 10 to 20 EUR (depending on the transfer amount).

To make the money transfer, one should apply with a passport to a bank branch office, indicate the data of the recipient of the transfer. One can also get the service remotely by using the Video Bank service – a call to a bank employee via Skype.

“VTB develops its money transfer service and expands its geography. Today the bank’s clients have access to six money transfer systems: MoneyGram, Unistream, IntelExpress, BEST, Conversе Transfer and Telcell. Money transfers are one of the most demanded financial services in Armenia, and we plan to further improve our service, increasing the possibilities of transfers between countries,” said Tatevik Badalyan, Director of the Retail Business Development Department at VTB Bank (Armenia).

VTB Bank (Armenia) is one of the leading banks in Armenia by the number of remittances- 583,000 in 2020 amounting to 88.3 billion drams. At the end of the first half of 2021, the number of remittances amounted to 325 thousand, which is 44% more than in the same period of 2020.
