Share of non-performing assets of Armenian Commercial Banks 4.74% in September

YEREVAN, November 14. /ARKA/. The share of non-performing and written off assets of Armenian commercial banks dropped to 4.74% in September 2013, a reduction of 6.5 percentage point from the month before, says the monthly Central Bank of Armenia handbook for September.

According to the report, consumer loans accounted for the biggest share of non-performing assets, about 1.14%, in September. The share of non-performing assets was about 0.97% in trade sector, 0.97% in construction and 0.60% in processing industry.

Mortgage loans accounted for 0.38% of non-performing assets, public catering for 0.23%, agriculture for 0.19% and other sectors for 0.15%.

Finance sector has not reported non-performing assets.

Total assets of Armenia’s commercial banks amounted to about AMD 2,718.2 billion in late September 2013.
