Ministry of Economy responds to concerns about shortage of dollars for customer service

YEREVAN, March 14. /ARKA/. Over the past month, Armenian banks have bought more dollars from their customers than they have sold, the Armenian Ministry of Economy said.

According to the ministry, in recent days the public has been concerned that banks do not or will not have enough US dollars to serve their customers, given the fact that individual customers are actively converting their savings into US dollars.

“In the period from February 10 to March 11, 2022, banks bought $583.3 million from their clients, and sold $539.1 million, the difference is $44.2 million,” the Ministry of Economy’s telegram channel says. -0-
