Armenia’s banks are well capitalized and quite liquid – Central Bank

YEREVAN, December 13. /ARKA/. Armenia’s banks are well capitalized and quite liquid, the head of the regulator Martin Galstyan said a press conference on Tuesday.

Noting that the banks have generated quite a lot of profit over the past two years, he said the Central Bank’s decision on countercyclical capital buffers (CcyB) is aimed at helping banks withstand shock situations.
