CaseKey x Byblos Bank Armenia strategic partnership takes center stage at the 2025 gala

YEREVAN, December 4. /ARKA/. Continuing its tradition, the CaseKey Business Case Competition 2025 hosted its gala event at the Dilijan Training and Research Center of the Central Bank of Armenia.

Byblos Bank Armenia has supported the practical knowledge competition for the third consecutive year, serving as a strategic partner this year. Over the course of this collaboration, the Bank has also funded the participation of the CaseKey collective teams in four prestigious international competitions.

The CaseKey competition offers a unique format in which participants tackle real business challenges, present strategic solutions, and build valuable connections with leaders from various fields.

“Through initiatives like CaseKey, Byblos Bank Armenia continues to support the diversification of education in Armenia. Our goal is to help create a better learning environment for future generations. The CaseKey competition highlights talented young people, brings critical thinking to the forefront, and allows participants to see how business operates not only in theory, but also in real life. Emphasizing the importance of continuous investment in promising educational programs, I am pleased to note that we are already witnessing the positive results of our efforts and the valuable culture the competition has cultivated,” said Hayk Stepanyan, CEO of the Bank.

“We attach great importance to such initiatives because, in addition to theoretical knowledge, participants gain practical skills that are highly valuable for real-world application. I also believe that the internationalization of the competition, the participation of young people in global events and the involvement of international coaches is extremely important. Another key component is qualitative development. We need cases that can elevate participants to a higher level of competence,” said Martin Galstyan, Governor of the Central Bank of Armenia, during the event.

“CaseKey’s main mission is not to provide students with ready-made answers, but to develop their critical thinking and their ability to break down complex problems step by step. We are building a community of future leaders who are not afraid of challenges. Our strategic partnership with Byblos Bank Armenia is rooted in this shared vision: to invest not only in the competition itself, but in the development of the country’s intellectual capital,” said Arshak Karapetyan, co-founder of the competition.

The competition continues to grow, with the number of participants increasing each year: the applications have now exceeded 800. In 2025, 20% more students were able to join the program compared to previous years. This year, in addition to CaseKey coaches, two international experts from Lebanon and the United States also worked with the participants. New training formats were introduced as well, allowing teams to engage in case-based discussions with leaders from various industries.

This year, CaseKey brought together 20 teams from Yerevan, Gegharkunik, Tavush, and Shirak. Over the course of over six months, more than 200 participants learned with and from one another, worked on real business challenges, and gained practical knowledge. From all the solutions submitted for the final main case, the five strongest teams were selected, and one of them was ultimately recognized as the winner of the competition.

During the gala event, it was announced that in 2026 the CaseKey collective team will once again represent Armenia at a leading European business case competition, with continued support and funding from Byblos Bank Armenia.

Education is one of the key CSR priorities of Byblos Bank Armenia. The Bank not only supports unique educational initiatives, but also provides scholarships and sponsors the translation and publication of important books into Armenian.

The Bank is supervised by the Central Bank of Armenia.
